College is one of the most exciting experiences that you will ever encounter in your life.  What you do during this time not only will define that experience, but it will be remembered for the rest of your life.  One way to maximize your college endeavors is by joining a fraternity.  If you are thinking about joining a fraternity, we offer you one sound piece of advice; find the one that is right for you.  Beta Gamma Nu is one of many fraternities, however we are not just any ordinary organization we are a FAMILY.  As the newest and fastest growing fraternity in Southern California, Beta Gamma Nu offers its members opportunities to obtain leadership skills and networking capabilities that will aid everyone in establishing their lives.

Beta Gamma Nu’s number one goal for all its members is to create leaders who graduate from their college / university and go on to succeed in their own individual careers.  We achieve this goal through establishing mandatory study hours for all new members and brothers.  Collectively we all feel a sense of PRIDE when a brother graduates; a sense of  BROTHERHOOD, when we help each other attain those goals; a sense of RESPECT for those who are either on their way or have already achieved their goals.  Thus our three intangibles of PRIDE, BROTHERHOOD, and RESPECT fulfill all the aspects of not only being a brother of Beta Gamma Nu but also a respectable young man in life.

If you would like to make the most out of your college experience and join a family that will support you academically and socially than Beta Gamma Nu is the right choice for you.  We are looking for successful young leaders who do everything possible to accomplish their goals.
 
Beta Gamma Nu encourages you to participate in fraternity recruitment. We would like to provide you with a list of "tips" to help you narrow down your choices:

Enjoy Rush

Although the word RUSH sounds stressful, it isn’t. Make sure you have fun while attending all of the houses during recruitment. You will meet a lot of great individuals from many different fraternities who want to do the same thing as you do - meet new people. 

Set Your Own Goals

The best way to find a fraternity that suit your needs is to find out what you can gain from the fraternity. Ask yourself these questions:

• Why are you rushing? 
  
• Do you want a chance to be a leader? 
  
• Do you want to establish a network of connections that can be used once you graduate?
  
• Maybe you just want to meet new friends, or perhaps you want to join a fraternity just to enhance your college years?
  

 
Explore Your Options

Visit as many houses as you can! By looking at all the different fraternities, you can get a better idea of what you want in terms of the type of people you want to be around and the type of activities that are being offered. 

Narrow Down Your Options

After carefully comparing your favorite choices, eliminate the ones you don’t want, and go back and carefully inspect the ones you do. 

Spend Time Getting To Know the Brothers

Once you have decided which organization you would like to get to know better, spend as much time with the members as you can. Try to meet a majority of all the Brothers, and go to as many of their events that you can. This gives the Brothers of the chapter enough time to get you know you, which shows them that you are serious about wanting to be part of their Brotherhood.

• The People. The atmosphere at BΓΝ is comfortable and relaxed. Everyone here says that they felt right at home from the minute they stepped through the door. Our brothers are never unapproachable. Many of our member have stated that it was our outgoing nature that stood us apart from the other organizations.
  

• Life-long Friendships. You will form friendships with many individuals that last forever due to the strong bond formed by our Brotherhood.
  

• Academic Excellence. With our variety of different majors and academic backgrounds, brothers are able to work together in study groups to collectively pass all courses. 
  

• Athletics. You have the chance to participate in all levels of intramural games, from football, basketball, volleyball, golf, and more. There are always sports to participate in year-round. 
  

• Diversity. We pride ourselves on maintaining a diverse band of brothers that come from all different types of nationalities, cultures, and interests yet we all share the same aspirations for success.
  

• Opportunity for Leadership. There are many offices and chairmanships that prepare you for the responsibility you will face in the real world. New brothers, especially freshmen are encouraged to run for said positions. 
  

• It's just the best time you'll ever have. There is always something to do here in Beta Gamma Nu and you just have to experience it to believe it. There is always someone around to talk to. There are few opportunities in life to really broaden your horizons and make connections that will last a lifetime.  Beta Gamma Nu is one of those opportunities that is waiting for YOU!
